Hi,
I am from Calcutta,India. My mother tongue is Bengali. There are very huge drawback of our language is, we have no OCR. But we have some development from Bangladeshi people, who developed Bengali OCR (http://code.google.com/p/banglaocr/ ) and published GNU GPL v2.

There are huge public domain Bengali literary work collection in India, Bangladesh, which should be uploaded in www.archive.org, So I would request to archive.org software team please support us to development Bengali OCR.

Thank you for the offer and suggestion. I will mention this to the texts lead engineer to see if it is feasible.
